Kango — A Mosaic of Love and Loyalty 🐾

Mosaics, for me, have always been more than just art. They’re stories. They’re memories. They’re pieces of life carefully chosen, shaped, and placed — held together not just with grout, but with meaning.

This piece is for Kango.

Our beautiful, loyal girl — a companion through thick and thin, studio days and garden strolls, full of quiet strength and unwavering love. Saying goodbye to her has left a space in our hearts, but I’ve tried to fill part of that space with this mosaic — a characterture of her gentle, goofy soul.

In these tiles, I see her. The sparkle in her eye. The joy in her playful pose. The rose for her sweetness, the bees and dragonfly for the nature she loved to chase and explore. Each piece was placed with purpose, with care — a tribute to the bond we shared.

Kango’s no longer by our side, but through this mosaic, she’ll always be with us. Preserved in colour and light, her memory now lives in the art she unknowingly inspired.
